Round Four: Andrew Johns / Laurie Daley Cups

Round four of the Country Rugby League’s Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley Cups kick-off this weekend, with matches taking place in Wyong, Armidale, Shellharbour and a double-header in Harden.

Round three of the Andrew Johns Cup saw the Newcastle Knights Development Squad continue their winning ways with an impressive 38-18 triumph over Central Coast Roosters. North Coast enjoyed their second victory in a row over local rivals Northern Rivers, defeating them 20-12.

The Monaro Colts, Western Rams and Penrith Panthers claimed victories over The Riverina Bulls, Illawarra South Coast Dragons and GSR Wests Tigers respectively.

The Laurie Daley Cup saw Newcastle claim a 72-8 victory over Central Coast Roosters, while Penrith Panthers also had a comprehensive 52-4 win over GSR Wests Tigers. North Coast enjoyed a 30-point win over Northern Rivers. In the Southern Pool, Illawarra South Coast Dragons and Riverina Bulls got themselves back into the winner’s circle after beating Western Rams and Monaro Colts.
