Black Dog Inst / RUOK?
The Black Dog Institute is a world leader in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder.
Many people find it hard to seek help for a mood disorder. In spite of a growing awareness of depression and bipolar disorder, misunderstandings persist – and these can deter people from seeking help as readily as they would for other more obviously ‘physical’ illnesses.
Black Dog Institute delivers a range of education seminars on depression, bipolar disorder, wellbeing and resilience. For more information, please visit www.blackdoginstitute.org.au (Education).
Please contact the CRL Office if you would like to arrange an information session with the Black Dog Institute for your club/community.
The Country Rugby League encourages all members, volunteers, players and supporters to please visit the Black Dog Institute website should you wish to seek further advice for yourself or someone you know.
R U OK? is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2009, whose vision is a world where we’re all connected and are protected from suicide. Accordingly, R U OK?’s mission is to encourage and equip everyone to regularly and meaningfully ask “are you ok?”
From 2015 – CRL Representative Referee’s will proudly display the R U OK? Logo on their Jerseys, in an effort to promote conversations and encourage people to support those who are struggling with life.
