NSW Country score victories over West Coast Rugby League

Updated: July 5, 2017

NSW Country have claimed victories in the opening matches of their U16/18’s Tour of New Zealand after defeating West Coast Rugby League at Wingham Park, Greymouth last night.

Played in blustery winter conditions, and supported by a healthy crowd of both visiting Australian families and locals from the West Coast, the final scorelines were not an accurate representation of the intensity of the matches; with West Coast Rugby League playing impressive football for long stretches of both matches.

Ulysses Roberts was named Man of the Match for the U16’s after a energetic performance, with Joe Bromage claiming Man of the Match honours in the U18’s fixture.

Country Rugby League would like to thank West Coast Rugby League for hosting our U16 and 18’s Representative sides and for the generosity and opportunity afforded to our players.
