Happy Holidays at CRL School Holiday Camps

Updated: July 14, 2017

Over 150 participants have taken part in Greater Southern and East Coast School Holidays Rugby League Development Camps in Berry and Coffs Harbour recently.

Players had the opportunity to partake in skills based games and training drills before splitting into groups to conduct a number of teamwork based challenges to improve their on-field communication.

Attendees at the Greater Southern Camp were greeted by current Australian Jillaroos player Kezie Apps and former St George Illawarra Dragons and NSW State of Origin player Matt Cooper, who were more than happy to pass on their advice to the young players.

CRL Greater Southern Regional Area Manager Kevin Felgate believes the camps are a great opportunity for participants to not only improve their skills, but also have the opportunity to meet other players from their local region.

“It’s great to see these young guys enjoying their holidays and most importantly enjoying their rugby league,” said Felgate.

“We hope the players who attend our camps will be able to take the things they’ve learnt here and apply it to their own training and gameplay at their local clubs.

“We’re very lucky to have the support of the NRL Development and St George Illawarra Dragons in successfully running these camps and it’s great to see these kids have the opportunity to meet other players from their local region and stars of our game like Kezie Apps and Matt Cooper.
