The postponed SLE Worldwide Australia U16/18 Country Championship Finals will be played on Saturday, 8th April at Cessnock Sportsground.

The East Coast Dolphins will take on the Western Rams in the U16’s Final at 9:30am; with the Newcastle Rebels and Western Rams going head-to-head in the U18’s Final at 11:00am.

The Finals were scheduled to be played this weekend, but were postponed due to flood and severe weather warnings in the Northern Rivers and Mid-North Coast creating unsafe travelling conditions for the East Coast Dolphins U16’s along with their families and supporters.

CRL CEO Terry Quinn declared player and personal safety to be at the forefront of the decision.

“The adverse weather conditions on the North Coast of New South Wales have created unsafe conditions for our players, families and supporters to travel in and for the safety of all involved, the decision to postpone the U16/18 Country Championship Finals has been agreed upon.”
