Updated: November 23, 2018

Over 900 female rugby league participants will take the field in Wyong and Berkeley Vale tomorrow for an exciting Finals Day of the CRL Central Hunter Women’s 9’s; which will feature guest appearances from NSW Women’s State of Origin and NRLW players.

After a successful five rounds, a total of 63 games will be played between Wyong Leagues Club and Berkeley Vale Ovals, with age groups ranging from Under-12 to Open-Age.

Australian Prime Minister’s XIII Women’s Captain and NSW Women’s State of Origin player Bec Young and Sydney Roosters NRLW player Kylie Hilder will be in attendance at Wyong to present trophies to the winners of the Under-14 Yellow and Maroon Finals.

CRL Female Participation Officer Hilder believes the day will be a celebration of the growth and success of this year’s 9’s competition.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the support and optimism from everyone involved in this competition, which only continues to grow each year and we’re extremely proud to be providing opportunities like this for female players in the Central Coast and Hunter Regions,” said Hilder.

“Grand Final Day is going to be a celebration of another great 9’s tournament and it’s a fantastic opportunity for fans to come and meet some our Women’s Origin and National Championship stars.

“It’s been the biggest year of the Central Hunter 9’s yet so we’d love to see a big crowd on hand; it’s free admission for anyone wanting to come and support the girls.”

CRL Central Hunter Combined Women’s 9’s Competition Grand Final Day takes place on Saturday, 24th November at Wyong Leagues Club and Berekeley Vale Ovals, with matches kicking-off from 9:00am.
